Unlike the older Kimber Micro 9 series, the CDS9 is a ground-up redesign featuring a fully ambidextrous slide release and manual safety, a reversible magazine release, and a robust aluminum frame. This specific TFS (Threaded for Suppression) model is the flagship of the lineup, factory-equipped to handle muzzle devices while maintaining the slim, 1.1-inch wide profile that makes it one of the most concealable double-stack hammer-fired pistols available.
