The PSAK-74S is Palmetto State Armory’s domestic reproduction of the iconic Soviet-era AK-74S infantry rifle, chambered in the high-velocity, low-recoil 5.45x39mm cartridge. Built on a 1mm stamped steel receiver with a 4.5mm rear side-folding trunnion, this model captures the distinct silhouette of classic military side-folders. It features a forged front trunnion, and a forged bolt/bolt carrier assembly designed for long-term lockup integrity. Finished in desirable plum polymer furniture and paired with a folding stock, this PSAK-74S offers an ideal blend of classic Cold War aesthetics and modern manufacturing.

Plum Polymer Furniture: Factory plum polymer handguards and pistol grip exhibit deep, consistent color with sharp molded texturing and minimal handling wear.

Forged Internal Components: Forged front trunnion, bolt, and carrier show clean locking lugs with smooth cycling across the hammer face.

Receiver Finish & Optics Rail: Matte black finish remains uniform throughout; includes a factory side-scope rail riveted to the left side of the stamped receiver for mounting AK optics.

Damaged Muzzle Brake (Baffle Strike): The factory AK-74 style muzzle brake shows internal impact damage consistent with a keyholing/tumbling projectile strike, resulting in a missing chunk of metal along the interior exit port.
